Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

I went here with my husband on a much needed, parents night out. The drinks were flowing (great martini’s BTW…they’re HUGE) and all drinks are put together tableside which is a fancy little treat.  We had their philly cheese steak egg rolls for an appetizer. If you come here and don’t get those, you’re really missing out! For dinner my husband had the prime rib, and I hadtheir red snapper.  Everything was excellent and of course wood fired.  (duh!) The best part of course was that there was bread service, yum! They served semolina bread with whipped butter.

Presentation – 1 Crumb

I’m a sucker for bread served on a cutting board, ha! and with a nice steak knive so that you can cut your own size, yes please! Not only that, but the semolina bread itself looked perfect!

Bread Variety – 1 Crumb

The way that this is presented, I would actually be disappointed if there were more than one type of bread here. It would crowd the board.  Also, the portion was quite large so to add something else in the mix would be too much.

Quality of Bread – 1 Crumb

Semolina bread is very similar to italian bread; nice outside crust, warm fluffy inside with seasame seeds on top.  YUM! This bread I believe was homemade, served warm, huge, very airy inside and a nice crunchy crust.  Just as I would expect.

Quality & Quantity of Spread(s) – .5 Crumbs

For how big the bread was, there should have been more whipped butter on the board.  I almost had to ask for more, ha!

Cost – 1 crumb

This bread was free, so of course it deserves a full crumb! 🙂

Overall – 4.5/5 crumbs

Free bread, huge in size, served on a cutting board with butter! If only they served it with more butter than it would have a had a perfect score. This semolina bread is not to be missed. Not only that, but the food, drinks and service are all top notch here! Worth checking out!
