I love when a bunch of friends can get together and bond over bread, and drinks and food and their company. This is exactly what we did at Cameron’s American Bistro. One of my generous friends treated 5 of us to dinner at Cameron’s and it did not disappoint! I love this place and often go here with my husband since it’s about 6 minutes from our house. If you’ve never been, their food is wonderful, I recommend their walleye or salmon. Anyway, they had a bread service, duh! Here’s how it went.
Presentation – 1 Crumb
Although s pretty standard bread basket with white napkin in, it still looked presentable. Not really anything else to say here. The butter/spreads came seperate from the bread basket which was nice that they didn’t shove everything in and overcrowd the basket.
Bread Variety – 1 Crumb
My husband and I honestly thought this came with two types of bread. There were two loafs that were pre cut, and we inspected them each thinking one half was like a french loaf and the other was a rye. Turns out they were both the same type, ha! Either way there was a ton of bread and it was warm. Should have only expected one type, but there was no description of the bread anywhere on the menu or indication that bread was to be served at all.
Quality of Bread – 1 Crumb
IT WAS WARM!!! Sad to say, but warm bread is hard to come by these days. So I was super excited that it was warm, and pre cut. The bread itself was spongy yet soft and delicious.
Quality & Quantity of Spread(s) – 1 Crumb
Not only did this come with two containers of whipped butter, which was soft and fluffy and easy to spread on the warm bread. It also came with a roasted garlic clove which is my absolute favorite thing!!! The garlic was warm and spread easy on the bread, it’s the perfect combination with some butter. My mouth is drooling just thinking about it.
Cost – 1 Crumb
As I’m writing this, I’m like OMG this bread is about to get the perfect crumb score?! When I ate this bread, I didn’t think it would be perfect, but it is. After all, you can’t beat free! So yet again we have another full crumb here. Amazing!
Overall – 5/5 Cumbs
Let’s give a minute for a round of appluse here! It’s been a minute since I’ve had a 5 out of 5 crumb score?!?! YAY! So, not only is Cameron’s food stunning, their bread is delicious and off the crumb charts. Don’t walk, run to Cameron’s to eat their complimentary bread.
