Update – November 2020

Update!

Lets start with… it’s hard to find bread service during a pandemic! It feels like I’ve been chained to the house since March.  I’ve been working from home since then.  Moved in fact and have a kitten.  A lot has changed in a short 8 months. Today, in the depths of the crawl space I found one single moving box. My Yeti coffee cup that I often would take to work was sitting there, untouched. It’s absolutely wild that I haven’t needed or missed it since March.  In February I was put on a medication which puts me at a higher risk of contracting darn corona, so I’ve been hanging out at home, minus the grocery store trip, or Home Depot, etc.

We’ve only had a handful of friends over, and even spent Thanksgiving at home. My husband does travel a lot for work, so there is a worry to a degree, but we’ve safe and lucky so far. Everyone’s been effected by this virus one way or another, especially the food industry.  Restaurants are suffering, and another shut down will most likely take out eh majority of mom and pop shops.

To cure my craving for bread, I’ve been baking at home. Banana bread, banana muffins, chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon roll cookies, sugar cookies, brownies, an Oreo surprise cake, jello and a cherry cheesecake are the ones that come to mind.  My latest bake can be found here!

Last little update, is my cat, Mars! He’s my world, and we will most likely both have separation anxiety when the world goes back to normal, and I have to leave the house to go to work. Ha!  He’s a chocolate point Ragdoll, so naturally I had to name him after a chocolate bar! Even my husband is warming up to the idea of having a cat around; life is good.
